Sheesh. Has there ever been a team to have multiple pitchers give up 8 or more earned runs?!

For some reason, it feels like the season Elly De La Cruz is having is going severely under the radar.

He currently ranks among MLB SS:

1st in OPS
1st in wRC+
2nd in WAR
4th in HRs
4th in SBs
10th in OAA

He’s 4th in all of MLB in WAR among position players.

Unfortunately, it feels people dwell way too much on the negatives with Elly, without appreciating what we’re watching. We’ve seen his aged 21-24 season thus far, and everyone is ready to declare him a finished product or underwhelming.

I beg of #Reds fans to start appreciating Elly for who he is, and how he impacts the game, rather than jumping to trash him every mistake he makes.

Why don’t they just let catchers call their own balls and strikes? And the ump has two chances to challenge with ABS

[timmy de la giant @TIMMYtheGIANT]

I like Myers in the lineup against lefties. But why is he always in the 3-hole lately??

[timmy de la giant @TIMMYtheGIANT]

If it wasn’t already obvious, it’s time for a new Front office

[timmy de la giant @TIMMYtheGIANT]

For a team who needs to make about 8 trades this deadline, the Reds have been awfully quiet to this point.

[timmy de la giant @TIMMYtheGIANT]

@optimistic_reds A haul might not be enough. We’d need at least 3-4 of them.

Chase Burns, Fastball/Slider Overlay.

I was reading this, expecting a punchline at the end. But the fact that there wasn’t one is even funnier!

[C. Trent Rosecrans @ctrent]

Chase Burns’ contract signing was held up a little bit this morning when Reds GM Brad Meador spilled coffee on it and they had to print a new one

Wembanyama decided on the 25% maximum instead of the 30% supermax escalators to $303M, after he and the Spurs went through multiple frameworks. A major decision for the All-NBA star and Defensive Player of the Year entering his fourth season.

San Antonio worked in close partnership with Wembanyama and his representatives, offering the full super max and different variations of extensions. But Wembanyama ultimately chose a contract sacrifice rooted in giving him and the organization increased ability to build a sustained title contender around him.

Imagine declining a $42.3M player option…

[Shams Charania @ShamsCharania]

Cleveland Cavaliers' James Harden is declining his $42.3 million player option for 2026-27 and the sides are working through a new multiyear deal together, sources tell ESPN.

ELLY DE LA BOMB 💥

[timmy de la giant @TIMMYtheGIANT]

@HeyGingersaurus @RedsInFour Weird. They’d have to go back up to 200M in year 4 in this scenario then right?

[timmy de la giant @TIMMYtheGIANT]

It was at this moment that I realized I’ve never seen Tommy before.

I had a picture in my head…but I didn’t realize I’d made him up.
