Today, I had the privilege of Visiting the Kwame Nkrumah Complex, Institute of African Studies, University of Ghana, for a conversation on integrating African Indigenous Knowledge Systems into formal education; a bold step toward a framework for learning curriculum

We’re facing an attention crisis among young people, fueled by poor consumption habits
Ifa reiterates that when we fail to give attention to what truly matters, life becomes disrupted and our efforts risk being forgotten in history
May we not be forgotten in the anals of History
Luck is not random. Good or bad, it is the outcome of actions, inactions, and probabilities.
When luck appears, nature is calling you to fill a void as a blessing or correction.
Which side you fall on depends on your Ori.
Which void will you fill in 2026? good or bad?
In Òtúrá Òwónrín, Ifa teaches that soft work can create more financial autonomy than endless hard labor.
Yet we were trained to worship struggle.
The new age of work rewards intelligence, alignment, and systems, over hard labor.
It’s time to work strategically, not harder.
Aging is a genetically induced concept in that it is entrenched in the gene of our fore-bearers and a “cautious” study of our parental shortfalls would help to study their pattern of living, aging and death.

This video is a testament and a charge:
stand tall, silence doubt, put your adversaries to shame, and rise fully into the height of your destiny in 2026.
Ifa never fails.
The world runs on polarity, but nature enforces balance.
Every action and every silence carries weight. When we refuse to self-correct, nature does it for us, often without mercy.
Ifa teaches that our excesses across life’s dualities are always recalibrated.
There’s an excessive sugar intake rising among young people, weakening immunity and metabolic balance.
Ifa teaches correction through bitter herbs; traditionally used to restore balance, discipline excess, and strengthen the body’s natural resistance.
Take care of yourself!!!
Relationships are meant to be symbiotic, not parasitic.
When one side takes too much or the other gives too much, balance is lost and what loses balance dies naturally.
We need relationships built on reciprocity, and self-respect.

I am hosting the “Èṣù Is Not Satan” Symposium at the J. Randle Centre for Yoruba culture and preservation on 23rd of Dec. 2025.
Theme: Religion at the Crossroads of Good and Bad.
Culture. History. Truth.
You really can’t afford to miss this.
ESU ODARA:
THE ‘ONE-MAN’ POLICE OFFICER OF THE UNIVERSE
WHO IS ‘ESU ODARA’?
ESU, also known as ‘Echu’, ‘Exu’ is an Orisa in the Yoruba religion of the Yoruba people, originating from Yoruba land, an area in and around present day Nigeria. And as the religion has spread around the world, the name of this Orisa has varied in different locations but the beliefs remain the same.
‘Esu Odara’ can be explained to be a messenger of God ‘Olodumare’ like other Orisa, and he was given an assignment like Olodumare did to each and every Orisa. He can also be called a ‘police officer’ to the mankind as he makes sure each individual in life follow the rules and regulations that guides the earth. ‘Esu Odara’ was given so much power by ‘Olodumare’ to the extent that he has power over everything, including the Orisa. ‘Esu Odara’ can do and undo, he can make white to become black; he favors people who respect him by way of making ‘EBO’ and punishes those that neglects. He can do and undo, he can turn black to white and white to black; he can remove obstacles out of your way, and also put obstacles in one’s way if you act wicked. He can be favorable and also unfavorable depending on what he wants to do at a particular time.
Esu Odara was next to God Olodumare and he was made to know and understand everything that God does; in fact, God made him the head of all his messengers and angels.
And according to Ifamatters on https://t.co/uVvagno3eA, ESU is a fundamental Orisa and of great importance in Yoruba land and Africa in general. There is no shrine you will get to in Yoruba land that you will not feel the presence of ESU either by his image or representation. In fact, well established towns have their own ESU either at the entrance or in the center of the town.
ESU is primarily a special relation officer between ‘Orun’, heaven and ‘Aye’, earth. He is the ‘Inspector-General’ or the ‘Confidential Secretary’ of ‘Olodumare’, which makes the final recommendation to Olodumare for the latter approval. He also reports on regular basis to Olodumare on the deeds of men and divinities, incorrectness of worship in general and sacrifices in particular.
Traditions have it that it is only the Babalawo, Ifa priests that understand ESU inside-out, and this is because of the knowledge of Ifa that they have. In fact, their roles are complimentary. ESU is the right hand divinity to Orunmila; and it is the duty of ESU to run errands for Orunmila and sees to the perfect completion of all Orunmila desires. He, Esu must always be in attendance and effects Orunmila’s order. Orunmila is assigned the duty of listening to the voice of Olodumare through Ifa divination and declare His, Olodumare’s will to the world but, wherever the former’s declaration is not heeded to, it is the duty of ESU to enforce the will of Olodumare by bringing some calamity as a sort of punishment upon the recalcitrant . Orunmila in returns of the above functions to ESU always give ESU first of all in his drinks and food at every meal apart from the special appeasement to ESU for a particular assignment. Therefore, there exist a very strong link between ESU and Orunmila and his disciples, Babalawo; ESU is the approver and bearer of sacrifices to Orun, heaven and the spirit world; and is well known to the Babalawo as door-opener or gate man; that is, ‘Olureku’/’Onibode’ or better put, OSEOTURA.
Orisa ESU can spoil things if they are not done as prescribed. And as an enforcer of the will of Olodumare by the divinities and man, ESU would definitely bring bad and good things to people depending on the frequency they maintain with Olodumare’s will. This is the reason behind the misrepresentation of ESU as ‘devil’ by those that are shallow in the knowledge of ESU earthly duties. He is a personification of good and evil, which is an acknowledgement of the presence and co-existence of positive and negatively forces in the world.
I will be attending this years edition of “Esu is not Satan” as we all come together to correct the misconceptions and stereotypes placed upon our “revered” Eṣu.
#Eṣuisnotsatan Eṣu is the aṣẹ that designs the reality we desire; Eṣu is Ọla Ilu.
