We discuss movies and media, but never claimed to be smart. (Except that one time we said we were geniuses)
@GamewithDave The game is Hybrid Heaven. It was a sci-fi RPG on the N64 that was very wrestling inspired.
One of the super neat things, is your limbs leveled up individually. So if you always used the left jab, your left arm would hit harder than your right, even with other punches.
@CCrpgCast @BeardedHalfling Given how expensive GW products are, and how affordable 3d printers have gotten?
2000 points of Orks will cost about $600.
You can get a good printer that will handle both infantry and vehicles for around $400.
Plus now you can also print tons of terrain.
@captempestcomic@memeslich I find that honestly more believable than a human-adjacent foe still being up and fighting after I've hit them 3 or 4 times with a greataxe. >.>
@paul_suda @memeslich "No Evil" is a "GM who has dealt with way too many shitbag players who don't actually understand evil and use 'lol evil' as an excuse to be shitbags and ruin the game for everyone else" test.
@memeslich Sit a group of D&D nerds down and have them assign a 2 axis alignment to characters from various IPs, and you will end up with arguments, as no one can really agree on what a given alignment truly means and where given characters fall into the chart.
@memeslich I think the alignment system is neat if you approach it as something more abstract and less absolute, and use it primarily to understand who your character is and what they would do in a given situation.
I also feel it is entirely too abstract to be tied to mechanics/rules.
@Nonat1s Unfortunately, sci-fantasy RPGs are a niche that most people don't care about (unless it has Star Wars in the name, but people call that sci-fi >.>).
Which sucks because it's one of the most fun genres to play with.
@CDNcapamerica@Role_Play_Chat Give your NPCs death saves and a chance to stand back up, and you can bet your arse your players will doubletap every single time. >.>
@Role_Play_Chat A smart enemy that knows there is a healer in the party will absolutely make sure that their enemies aren't getting back up.
A particularly vindictive recurring antagonist might finish someone off out of spit.
A beast may try to drag their kill away instead of keeping fighting.
@Score_Central_@EpicFilmGuys Covenant was a solid Alien film, brought down by its connection to Prometheus.
Prometheus was a solid sci-fi/horror film, brought down by its connection to the Alien franchise. (The moment they decided to explain the xenomorphs it was ruined.)
