Finished a good half way meeting with the Steering Group for Joint Initiative on Standardization. Better common understanding for the private public partnership system we represent and how to improve it

ISO General Assembly has started with all seats filled. The interest of international standards growths world around in an more protectionistic world

At the lunch today we decided to start a new collaboration group inside ISO for primarily group 2 members. This is a big step for strengthening the ISO family. Sweden and Austria took the initiative!

Tomorrow starts a two day meeting between the seven members who belongs to the XXM Group in Stockholm. Long agenda with important questions for cooperation. Both CEN and ISO topics is included as well as group projects. We need more of this!

Just finished a successful meeting with our colleagues in USA and CEN / CENELEC in Europe . It is obvious that the willingness to cooperate closer is higher amongst the SDO:s than for ANSI the central organisation.

The Swedish government has not decided on the most ambitious strategic standardization program ever. Hard work from SIS and creation of good relations and trust is the recipe.

In the end of August will we in CEN have a two day meeting with our colleagues from ANSI in the US, including official representation. Trade between US and Europe must be the most important topic and a possibility for the standardization world to contribute.

Today we started our special Brexit Group in CEN/CENELEC. Sad but a reality that comes closer. We hope for the best but prepare for the worst.

Had an incredible interesting seminare in Almedalen regarding AI. It will for sure hava an impact in all sectors and standardization is necesary for common ethical plattforms.

A succesful and interesting meeting in the ISO strategic standing committe today. We all agreed on the need of flexibility and new services from ISO. Industry and free trade comes first!

Managing director of the Swedish enterprise organisation pointed out standards as one of the most important success factor behind the single market. Hopefully she remembers that also in her every day work.

Celebrating 25 year with the single market in the European Union at Ministry of foreign affairs. The value and impact of this is enormous. Standards are an essential component in this.

The best Counsil meeting ever is finished. Full concentration on our global challenges with the new sectretary Generall and consensus. One dicission was to strenghten ISO:s brand thrue member activities supported internationally.

At ISO political and strategy committee we decided to look into end user thought about use of standards. We will also spend extra effirt to standards and innovation.
