OK, now for something different.

As the Cubs celebrate 150 years, I put together 15 All-Decade teams, one for each 10-year stretch in franchise history.

Each decade runs from a year ending in 6: 1876–1885, 1886–1895, and so on.

Here’s how I did it:

• One player at each position
• 5 starters (at least one RH and one LH)
• 5 relievers (same deal)
• Utility player
• Pinch hitter
• Bench: 2 IF, 2 OF, 1 C
A player can only appear once. Once I used someone, he was off the board. The only exception is manager because some of the Cubs' best managers were also great players.

I tried to base everything on performance in that decade. A lot of guys straddle two decades, so there are some judgment calls.

And yes, some not-great but memorable Cubs made it. That’s part of the fun and we know some of those decades were thin.

I’ll post one a day for the next couple of weeks.

I had to research a lot for the first three decades, so I’m guessing there won’t be much pushback there.

But tell me where I’m wrong.

@crimsonace @Sut_40 @FergusonJe2831 became a pretty good hitter, hitting 6 HR in the early 70s. His batting average wasn't great in 1982 when he returned to the NL, but he hit .245 in 1983. Also, Greg Maddux could hit a little when he was young.

I recently sold a 3-flat in Logan Square and here are the steps I had to take to lawfully sell my property:

1. Inform all tenants by certified mail 30 days before listing the property or beginning any marketing efforts.

2. Put written notice all over the building and on every unit door. Take photos of these notices.

3. Send the photos and paperwork to the Department of Housing and wait for their approval. Risk daily fines if building is listed before DOH approval.

4. Wait the 30 days to see if any tenant wants to buy the building (lol, yeah sure).

5. When I get an offer, share the price and terms with the tenants.

6. Get signed refusals from a majority of the tenants before I can transact my own property.

And this is just for a 3-flat. For larger buildings the wait is 120 days. It is a completely insane process and a blatant violation of property rights.

Instead of transparency, my family has had to work with Judicial Watch to sue Urbana for records so we can understand exactly what happened.

The officials you criticize, @Jim_Jordan, @RepMaryMiller, and @JeanneIves, have shown my family compassion and have tried to get us answers. You never did.

So answer a simple question: Did your office issue an Illinois driver's license to Juan Jahaziel Saenz Suarez or not? If not, was the Urbana Police report wrong?
Katie deserved transparency. So do the people of Illinois.
