The @AfDBPresident, Dr Sidi Ould Tah, and Niger’s Minister of Economy and Finance, Maman Laouali Abdou Rafa - also the Bank’s Governor for #Niger - signed an agreement on Tuesday in Brazzaville, Congo, to implement a youth agricultural entrepreneurship programme.
The “Integrated Programme for the Development of Youth Agri-Entrepreneurship and Technological and Financial Innovation” is funded with $172 million by the Bank Group.
The Bank Group and Niger are strategic partners. Together, they are implementing 21 projects and programmes worth over $1 billion.
Ultimately, this resulted in @AfDB_Group financing of US$46 million, which we leveraged 2.5 times to US$117.68 million for the Sokoto Healthcare Project which is expected to create 2,500 decent healthcare jobs and enable 6.9 million people to access quality healthcare!
