@MistypedMike@NBCSBoston@tomecurran I don't know why Bruins were even included when there's clearly no knowledge of the sport. Especially if the cutoff is 1972 right after the Bruins won 2 Cups, Bourque is the only Bruin for sure ahead considering you'd only get a few seasons of Orr/Esposito.
@QueerSporting @PucksOnEdgeBro @HaliBates@emilymkaplan@HockeyNewsHub In what ways? +/- is always the go-to for him. Despite the gaudy +/-, Lindholm's on-ice 5v5 GA/60 is 1.99 to Bergeron's 1.68. When you bring relative rates in, Bergeron's on the ice for -0.73 goals fewer /60 than the rest of BOS compared to Lindholm's -0.15.
@PaivaRonnie13@johnscott_32 Such a painful segment, credit to the other host pushing back on it. You can't criticize other voters for "not digging in" when you just resort to lazy narratives that Bergeron is getting it on reputation. Even the smallest bit of research would show you how good he was last year
@spencerg49 5th place vote is worse than being left off the ballot IMO. 0 points vs. 1 point in aggregate voting is so inconsequential and you still get to hide behind the player being "on your ballot" if you just throw him 5th.
@DawgsDon@frank_seravalli@LLysowski Exactly, it's just deflecting blame for their mess-up. This whole thing is supposed to be about transparency, and the lone ballot without Bergeron on it was listed 10th when it was the only one of the first 26 that didn't have Bergeron 1st. Stuck out like a sore thumb.
@LLysowski It took like 5 seconds to find the one ballot that didn't have him on it, your name was right near the top. Your mentions were getting flooded regardless. PHWA did you dirty, they hold all of the blame. Seravalli trying to deflect to the fans is laughable, you got screwed over.
@LanceMarner@AhoyMcavoy73@frank_seravalli@ThePHWA Turns out Lysowski actually had him 1st, PHWA did him dirty. So those 3 I listed are the only ones that had him outside of the top 3, but regardless, 2nd/3rd place this year should come with an explanation.

@DaleEArnold I just alerted the PHWA. Not going to screenshot my initial email for voting because I don't need to. Full disclosure: Bergeron was first on my ballot, followed by Cirelli, O'Reilly, Marchand and Eriksson Ek. Nice job trying to send your followers after me. Really professional.
@LanceMarner@AhoyMcavoy73@frank_seravalli@ThePHWA Lysowski is the worst for sure, but every single writer that didn't have Bergeron at 1 should have to justify why they didn't have him at 1. Was the most obvious Selke year in recent memory, with no clear cut #2 option.
@LanceMarner@AhoyMcavoy73@frank_seravalli@ThePHWA Couldn't believe it when I saw that name. Pat Hickey writes for the Montreal Gazette by the way. I wonder what could possibly have been his reason for docking Bergeron.
Maybe the funniest thing is Seth Rorabaugh having David Kampf ahead of Bergeron.
@AhoyMcavoy73@frank_seravalli@ThePHWA Don't just pile on Lysowski, anyone that didn't have him at 1 should be ridiculed, was that obvious. In some ways throwing him a 5th place vote is worst because you can just hide behind him "being on the ballot". 5th place Bergeron votes:
Pat Hickey
Seth Rorabaugh
Patrick Lalime
@bruinscoverage_ @Erikkef@Hockeyfan347 @boltgangcharger @babybergy37_ I replied to a tweet saying Barkov just won last year's Selke and came back half an hour later to like 50+ notifications of nonsense. One of the most bizarre things I've seen on Twitter, and that's saying something.
