@Amy_Hupe One of my secret interviewer hacks (don’t tell my boss) is to throw in a little comical annoyance at something obviously petty. Start the interview by telling the candidate that you’ve been bested by z-index or generic types. I try to ham it up, and 9/10 times you gang up on it

@meetleeann My take on this is that as an engineer if I absolutely have to choose between velocity of release and quality of shipped product, I pick velocity.

As a user I’d obviously always want a flawless experience.

Its tough though 🤷

🛑 Stop thinking of software as homogeneously represented by a small number of unrepresentative companies

🗯 Start being more honest about "real software process"

🛠 Demand more solutions to the real problems!!

🤝 Force one-to-ones: Engineers should know and be known, especially when you're building tools for internal teams. Give warm intros between new starters and as many other people in the business as possible.

Double vaxxed, babyyyy 💉💉 24 hours of a weirdly sore arm and neck (not cool) and now at least months of protection against catching and spreading covid (very cool). It literally could not have been any safer, free-r, or easier.
