The KZN Department of Economic Development, Tourism and Environmental Affairs, in partnership with the National Department of Forestry, Fisheries and the Environment and Government Communication Information System (GCIS) are celebrating the National Water Week which is themed "Glacier Preservation" at Nocomboshe Combined School in Msinga Top Area. The Commemoration of this week is a significant way of raising awareness about the importance of water for human survival, the environment and socio-economic development, and it allows role players such as government, business sector and the community to jointly reflect on water scarcity challenges in South Africa and globally.
As part of Human Rights, Government Communication Information System (GCIS) handed over the valuable RSA Constitution and National Identity book of national symbols to the school library to equip learners with resourceful information.

Today, Umzinyathi Independent Electoral Commission is hosting the Thought Leadership Seminar at Sigubudu Hall in Nquthu which has mobilised traditional leaders across Umzinyathi, government stakeholders and community members.
Inkosi Mbhekiseni Mazibuko, the Chairperson of Umzinyathi Traditional house, urged everyone to participate meaningfully to the Thought Leadership Session that is aimed at empowering citizens on institutions of democracy.
According to Rev. Mbuzeni Ndlovu from Independent Electoral Commission (IEC) the commission is ready to engage with local leadership, political parties and community structures on identification of voting districts delimitation.

Today SASSA unveiled newly built ablution facilities at the SASSA Service Centre in Dundee.
This came after MEC of Social Development in KZN, Mbali Shinga recently visited the site and engaged with members of the community onsite. During her visit, amongst some of the concerns raised by the community was the unavailability of ablution facilities at the site. MEC Shinga then instructed that the construction must be fast tracked in order to restore the dignity of the patrons of the site.
