The time limit could just be a few days or more unless he's forced out or already dealt with the issue, in which case he just de-transforms

Remember that Choso wasn't able to use convergence on his blood due to Naoya hitting him so much. He was only able to set up a supernova after the blood flood which spread his blood everywhere
