“Folks think we’re strange but they’ll catch up.” | Sylvester James, 1947-1988 🪩 Before RuPaul, before Big Freedia — Sylvester was serving gender-expansive disco greatness. His fearless self-expression helped lay the blueprint for liberation in music for non-binary artists.🪩
We know the power of collectivity in the demand for liberation; the surest way to get there is to get there together. Shoutout to all the folks who gathered in the name of collective action for human rights.
Speaking of vision, don’t forget to apply to join our Black Queer Visionaries Summit this June in Birmingham! Whether you're looking to learn, share your vision, or find a supportive community, this summit is the place to be.
Amplifying the words of ACLU of Alabama: Attacks against diversity and equity won't stop us from celebrating our history! And this Black History Month, we are celebrating Black queer visionaries who shaped our history and culture.
From national treasures like Marsha P. Johnson, to living legends like Alabama’s own Bronzie De’Marco, we’ll be sharing their stories and celebrating their vision for diverse, equitable, and inclusive communities all month long.
So proud to be in community with @ACLUAlabama to make this happen! “It’s Black History Month– and we’re so excited to kick it off with the launch of our 2025 Black Queer Visionaries Summit (BQVS) in partnership with the Knights and Orchids Society!”
BQVS is open to all Black queer Alabamians, regardless of background or experience. So don’t be shy– apply today! Whether you're looking to learn, share your vision, or find a supportive community, this summit is the place to be.

We were so honored to start the year in a collage building workshop with TU Safe Space at Tuskegee University. We shared information about sexual health, testing opportunities, and distributed free condoms. We look forward to collaborating more with Dr. Mungin and TU Safe Space!
Huge shoutout to Yellowhammer Fund for their dedication and to every volunteer who showed up to make this happen. Your hard work and passion inspire us every day! #tkoalabama#LGBTQIA#reproductivehealth
This past Friday, we joined forces with the amazing team @YellowFund to host a packing party—and wow, was it a success! Together with their incredible volunteers, we packed over 1,600 bags filled with condoms, pregnancy tests, and essential self-care items
These bags are a small but powerful step toward supporting our communities and empowering individuals with the tools they need for their health and well-being.
