Look at the happy faces of the (almost) whole @DTUtweet Aqua team at @ASLO_Palma2023 ‼️It has been an intense but equally rewarding week for all of us 🙌 Thanks to the organizers and see you all at the next one 🎉✨ #ASLO23
During the last poster session at #ASLO23 our team members @Toni_VivoP and @falcianiology had an entertaining time chatting about their research related with invasive and trait-based ecology coupled with the potential effects of O2 depletion on fish methabolism! 🙌
Here we go! @daniel_ottmann had the last contribution of the centre to #ASLO23 with a great talk about some regional and global patterns about squid biomass and some of their traits 🦑 Thanks to @ASLO_Palma2023 organization for hosting us as well as many interesting discussions!
Are you interested in biological invasions and trait-based ecology? 🧐 Stop by poster nº69 from the CS025 Community Ecology session today at 18:30‼️Let's chat a bit about community assembly rules, traits and #NIS establishment! 🙌 #WorldOceanDay#ASLO23
Yesterday our PhD's @LouiseFlensborg and @ampapmer had a bunch of nice conversations during the poster session!! It was great to see that many people were interested in the research about stability of fish communities 🐟📈and the NUM model 💻🧮 done at the centre 🙌
The afternoon started with @TKandylas's talk about several interesting global features of copepods derived from the NUM model, developed in our centre. All these outputs could be interesting in further research addressing global patterns or trends in biodiversity! #ASLO23
Go and check @LouiseFlensborg poster this afternoon as well! She will talk about how the spatial scale defines the stability of fish communities in the North Sea 🙌, in collaboration with other colleagues Ocean Life: @marshallxelo, @Toni_VivoP, Fernanda Silva and Martin Lindegren
To continue Ocean Life contributions at #ASLO23 we had a great talk by @fryderheim showing how chain-forming diatoms can sense and respond to chemical cues from micrograzers, causing them to activate different defense mechanisms! 🙌
The 2nd day of #ASLO2023 started with some modelling! Our colleague @marshallxelo gave us a brilliant talk about the assembly rules shaping fish communities in the North Sea, which they observed using a joint species distribution modelling approach 🐟

Almost half of the world's population lives in coastal regions!
Tourism, agriculture, fishing, aquaculture, and real estate are only some of the economic sectors taking place in these regions.
Let's protect them!
