This dojo may be retired, but it wouldn't be right to let the day pass without paying tribute to Hanshi Steve Arneil, who sadly passed away on 2nd July.
Pictured here (left) visiting the dojo in the early 1980s. The end of an era. RIP

Quiet nights at the dojo are sometimes the best.

[Tonbridge Kyokushin @TKyokushin]

In self-defence work, the idea to be able to somehow control a developing situation to fight in ways comfortable to us is a fantasy to dispel.

Today we said a tough, but also wonderful, goodbye to this amazing man. Sleep well Senpai Dave Ketley. Osu.

Only genuine confrontation can remind us of the fine line between defence & aggression, momentary decision making cannot be taught.

On the pads on the last day of BKK camp back in 2008. Good times. Osu.
