This is HUGE! The Learning Center (TLC) was awarded the Alternative Program of Distinction for 2026 from the Kentucky Department of Education (KDE). The TLC community is amazing and now the whole state knows it!
Happy National Counselor's Week! We are so grateful for these leaders in our school. They do so much for our students, school, and staff members. They are the beating heart of TLC!
We ended the semester with a fun day all around! Mr. Kennedy made breakfast for our staff, Mr. Collins & his band class had a winter concert at lunch, & we ended the day with a PBIS party with lots of goodies and games. We're looking forward to the new year and new semester!
Yesterday we had our first annual TLC senior conference! Our students learned all about FCPS Portrait of a Graduate and how to be a leader. Special thanks for Shamiah Booker, Dr. Soraya Matthews, and Bianca Cunningham for being our guest speakers.

Thursday, April 24th we will have our Spring Academic Parent/Teacher conferences. Teachers are available by zoom 4:30-5:30 and then in person 6-7. Please reach out to your student's Advisory teacher to set up a time to meet. Food trucks will be at the school and an interpreter

On Saturday, the TLC Digital Quilt team represented our school at the SPARK competition at Bryan Station. They presented their project "Our America" and although we didn't win, they did an amazing job showing our White Tiger Spirit! Congratulations to E. Hiler and Kallee Geers!

Tomorrow, March 21st, TLC will be hosting our very first Agriculture Assembly. Parents, please note that we will have live animals on campus tomorrow, such as chickens, rabbits, and goats.

The UK SHPE (Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers) will host Noche de Ciencia on April 2nd at Bryan Station High School (BSHS).
We will provide transportation for your students.

This past Wednesday, students Dillon Boston and Kamryn "Kamo" Jones attended the JAG (Jobs for America's Graduates) Day at the Kentucky State Capitol where they voiced their concerns with legislators.
