Louisville, as I get ready to go to bed tonight, I first want to say thank you.

I am so proud of the 37,490-plus people who voted for change today in early voting. I’m inspired. I’m not discouraged at all.

Mayor Greenberg can be beat.

Tonight showed that the people of Louisville are not going to let another four years happen without challenging the corruption, the corporate influence, and the way wealthy insiders continue to use our tax dollars to build wealth for themselves while too many people’s needs go unmet.

We cannot accept that.
And for the people who voted for him because it’s what they’re used to, because they’ve never truly been shown another way forward, we will continue doing the work to bring them to our side. Because the issues connect us beyond the lines that divide us.

The issues connect us and Mayor Greenberg is too disconnected from what matters to everyday people. He just spent over $800,000 against our $50k and didn't even pay for his own Derby guest:-( No he spent $97k of our tax dollars while taking funding from critical services our communities need in his proposed budget. This is how the rich stay rich; they use your money. Too many of you watch him use the power of being in office and borderline electioneering while too many of our neighborhoods get neglected.

This is why you need this #Mom2Mayor approach because I know how to say no, fix what's needed and take care of people. With me you get #2firsts1vote.

And I think it is very fitting that on #MalcolmX birthday, Louisville saw the first Black person and the first woman advance in the first-ever nonpartisan mayoral race in our city’s history.
