Louisiana is pioneering the broadband revolution across America as we set the national standard for rural broadband investment. This is a generational investment that will create thousands of jobs, drive billions in economic growth, and transform Louisiana communities in all 64 parishes.
I want to thank the Louisiana Office of Broadband Development and Connectivity for their outstanding work in ensuring that Louisianians, both in rural and urban communities, can experience the best of what Louisiana has to offer.
Today, Louisiana became the first state in the nation to have an @NTIAgov -approved low-cost option. The approval of LA’s Initial Proposal Vol. 2 marks an exciting moment in the deployment of broadband under the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act.

A $14 billion federal program to increase access to high-speed internet faces an early hurdle: The people who need it most are the hardest to reach because they aren’t online https://t.co/l2xTrPltLA
This is the first real step towards bringing broadband connectivity to the unserved areas of our state. These projects will fundamentally change how Louisianians live, work and play.
