It’s always hard saying bye, today two adult #ESOL learners are off to continue their journey in #Wales. I am hoping that with the skills and behaviours along with English skills we have helped them develop they’ll be able to #integrate into their new community confidently
The PreEntry #esol learners loved exploring the immersive room this week. They carried out a range of different activities to develop a range of skills including #communication#teamwork#maths and #problemsolving
Come along to Ascentis’ webinar featuring experts from The Better Health Generation. This webinar will offer you support and techniques for dealing with the trauma you are taking on vicariously whilst delivering ESOL.

During enrichment Pre Entry #esol learners loved stepping into a range of different environments through cutting-edge VR technology, using the BodySwaps Simulator. Learners used and developed their communication and problem solving skills in real world contexts. @Bodyswaps_VR
Today I took my family to the local Islamic Centre Open day. It was lovely to see some #esol students taking part. We learnt a lot about the Islamic culture, my daughter especially liked the free Hijabs and Henna. #learning#religions
I’m back… back on @X and back at work. I haven’t posted here for a while but looking forward to sharing and networking this year #ESOL#education#FEeducation#EAL#teaching

Explored @young_vam this morning with my two youngest. We had great fun, designing games, playing with toys and using our imagination to create stories. #London#museum#Children#explore
🎨 Our talented #ESOL Level 1 students are using the power of art to honour Remembrance Day and wish for a world of peace. Their amazing paintings convey a heartfelt message of gratitude and hope. 🕊️🌺 #RemembranceDay#ArtForPeace#TalentedStudents@HarlowCollege
Day 5, The refugees here in Calais and Dunkirk are here as a necessity they are fleeing the most terrifying circumstances but still full of hope. We offer 3hrs of respite from their living conditions. The smiles on their faces as they join in different activities is unforgettable
I found day3 very rewarding, spending time talking to the #refugees and getting to know them whilst #teaching them #English was definitely a highlight. One young man was extremely happy when he learnt the meaning of ‘absolutely’ and used it later. #volunteering#Calais
Today I started #volunteering, I spent the morning checking and storing sleeping bags. After a lovely lunch with everyone in the warehouse we went to #Dunkirk to hand out nearly 450 rain coats to #refugees staying there. I then spent time talking and making bracelets with them❤️
Day 1 of my trip completed. Lots of people have been asking for updates whilst I’m away #volunteering for #Care4Calais. I’ll try and take photos and videos when possible to share. My alarms set for my first day on site tomorrow 😁 #Refugees https://t.co/0pI0kZxgHj
