Phil Collen, the guitarist of @DefLeppard, came in to produce the 'Shock' record. We were excited about that. And we were going to really be a hands-off band. Let him make the record he wanted to make. The first thing he told me was, 'I want to be able to air drum the record.'

This week in 1980, we lost John Bonham. It is a testament to his talent that, 40 years after his death, he is still influencing and inspiring rock drummers around the world. Lord knows he has been a guiding light for me since I first picked up a pair of sticks.
