#Mpox (previously known as monkeypox) is a disease found in wild animals like squirrels, rats, mice, and monkeys that can spread to people.
Once infected with #Mpox, it can spread from person to person. It is caused by monkeypox virus, closely related to smallpox.
Is it treatable? Yes, Mpox is treatable and often clears up on its own within 2-4 weeks. However, it can be severe and even life-threatening, especially for children, pregnant women, and those with other health issues.
Simple actions like washing your hands regularly, avoiding close contact (like hugging, or intimate moments) if you or others feel unwell, and not sharing personal items can go a long way in keeping Mpox from spreading.
Staying aware and taking these small steps protects you and those you love.
