The website of Doctor Who-related trivia: computer games, records, fonts... we revelled in the minutae. Created by Matt Dale.
It really doesn't get better than this. The deepest dive into 60s Who incidentals in a brilliant video essay from the wonderful @JessJurkovic

Am I seeing things, or is there something clever in the Doctor Who theme as remixed by Mark Ayres? I was just taking a look at The Daleks In Colour CD, and in the "Spectogram" view (the colourful way of viewing audio in programs like Audacity) there's this familiar pattern... ๐
The "In Colour" title theme remix is similar (maybe directly remixed from) the Radiophonic Workshop album track "Regeneration" from 2014, which I'd never thought to look at in Spectogram Vision before. That pattern is repeated a few times there!
@AuntieDrJo @pie1883 The blu-ray menu says it's the 1992 audio, but I'm fairly sure it's the remastered version from 2000, uniquely with Colin's credits from the last episode tacked on in lower quality (they were absent from the CD).
One more thing before we embark into 2024...
My annual Doctor Who In Memoriam Video remembering those we lost in the past year or so. Please watch, like, share and distribute.

Matt was in the middle of preparing Vol 3 of BTMI when he died, and the Kickstarter is still active - closing on Sunday.
We ask that all backers of the project please cancel their pledges before 31st December. This will save his family the admin of processing refunds.
I'm heartbroken to say that Matt Dale, the driving force behind our Millennium Effect website, died on Christmas Day.
He generously referred to us both as co-creators of the place, but, in truth, it was an 80/20 split.
Here he is, 3 years ago. (1/5)
The Millennium Effect, launched in 1998 and once a very popular location for articles on Doctor Who, is back! Loads of new stuff already up, some of the old stuff a bit updated, bunch of new stuff planned.

@AutonScouser Hi! That was so much fun - we felt like celebrities for an hour! ๐ Thanks for being an early adopter and championing his 1st edition. So in awe of what he achieved over the following years and how brilliant the 2nd edition became.
Tragically, Matt leaves a son of 7 and a partner of 15 years. There's a crowd funder open, below, to help them cover costs at this difficult time.
Thank you for reading his site, it meant so much to both of us. I'll make sure it stays up.

It's been heartening, as much as heartbreaking, to see the messages from so many of his friends and admirers over the last two days, upset as his passing so young, and so suddenly. I keep wanting to share the messages with him - he'd be humble, but absolutely delighted. (4/5)
