inflatable posts from a humble piece of mind working on Create/Conquer Your Monster: The Band & Comic, The Perfectly Acceptable Comic Book Company, & more
The latest and greatest Create Your Monster x Conquer Your Monster song arrives May 25th… timed to coincide with my 25th wedding anniversary, which conveniently falls on the 25th of May, which also happens to be Memorial Day.
The track features my offspring on vocals. It also features my wife’s offspring. He might be one and the same. I never did go on Jerry Springer. I crossed my fingers and hoped to die instead.
It also features a metronome. It’s a long story why. Some battles are relentless chirps.
If you’ve ever stared down a losing situation and turned it into a win, this song might be for you.
If you’ve ever waited for help to arrive, only to realize you were the help you needed, this song might be for you.
This one is for the survivors, the fighters, the weirdos, and the humans who keep moving forward when every voice says stop.
In the immortal words of Ozzy and Todd Smith: “Never say die!”
Bonus: I blasphemously employed a kind and respectable Canadian graphic designer and author named @cterlson to help repurpose this classic example of American agitprop.
OMG! OMG! I’m going to a Buried Inside of Us concert. It’s a last second decision. Last second concerts are the best. I hope they/he plays Dead Inside! If he ain’t, this serves as my special request.
The amount of sawdust I got in my eyes, swallowed, and inhaled without uttering a single complaint is equal to about $20 an hour. Seems close to fair. Until I mention I could be making a few more dollars an hour by sitting at home and editing and formatting documents. But I can’t almost fall off a roof or slice a finger by sitting in a chair at home. Men. 🤷
For the first time in years, I have no plan for how or why I must bother with attempting to gather an army to launch the One True Comic known as Create Your Monster: The Comic.
Thinking about changing the name of the comic book company from The Perfectly Acceptable Comic Book Company to What a Fucking Relief Comics. I won’t, but I’m thinking about it.

This is my semi-annual push to get Metallica to play the Super Bowl halftime show.
Despite it all, Metallica is still too underrated?
Do better @NFL. I’m rooting for you.

If the bloody and newly christened Meat Butter Inc. plant/gift store hadn’t been so successful that it put itself out of business by collapsing into a pile of goo and ink, this would have been one of The Perfectly Acceptable Comic Book Company’s massively popular and financially sound homages.
CC: @KristinaArtsy Perhaps we can still fit it in somewhere… maybe in the Cow Eats Burger story. Perhaps? Perhaps not?
