We’re so sad that @TMSYork is closing but our talented pupils are still pursuing amazing dreams. Clever, Puyuan, has been awarded 2 scholarships for Eton this Sept - Music & King’s. Superb on violin & piano, he’s rather brainy too. Staff who helped him are thrilled @Eton_College
Great teaching can change your life. @TMSYork we teach to prepare young people for bright futures. This @UKThankATeacher week, we’re turning the tables and thanking our amazing and mature pupils for their hard work, resilience and spark. We applaud your curious minds👏🏼
An army marches on its stomach. Yr6 Latin class @TMSYork proved this by baking Roman army bread as found in excavations at Herculaneum (rather overcooked in hot lava from the eruption of Vesuvius unlike Albert’s delicious loaf) #lockdown#bread#baking#Latin
Can you spot famous faces? Our resilient Yr 8s are using the cathartic power of Art to heal their disappointment at how their last year @TMSYork is being curtailed. Channelling pop artist, Eduardo Paolozzi, they are creating evocative collages to mark current events #NHSHeroes
Our super sporty @TMSYork pupil, Jamie, channelled his inner Kevin De Bruyne recently, appearing on @cbbc#MOTDKickabout where he dazzled viewers with his nifty footwork! Top skills, Jamie!
Welcome back @TMSYork Online classwork is going Zooming marvellously! Smiles and hands up a-plenty. Our teachers have gusto, vim and vigour. Our pupils are happy, energetic and hungry to learn. A joyful morning’s learning. Top marks all! #homelearning#homeeducation
Our #NHSheroes have homemade scrubs heading their way thanks to our helpful Reception pupil @TMSYork and his mum. Our thoughtful pupil is also knitting hearts to keep separated families connected while their loved one is in hospital, especially if they won’t get to say goodbye.
@TMSYork talented pupils are kicking racism out of football using the power of the pen. Our compassionate Yr6 pupils are creative writing competition winners 2020 for Show Racism the Red Card @SRTRC_England.
Our clever Yr8 pupil Puyuan @TMSYork is not only an accomplished violinist. He is thoughtful and DT-skilled too. Saving up for his own 3D printer, he has made visors at home for #NHSheroes
As many of you will be aware, many homes in York are displaying rainbows of hope - here is a French activity that some of our younger @TMSYork children might be interested in for over the Easter break! 🌈
