The pitch for this Test was simply not good enough, way too much inconsistent bounce . The MCC may again claim it is because there is too much cricket on the square but there is far less than there used to be so that doesn't wash. I love a pitch where the batsmen have to work but it has to be fair. This was simply not good enough for players or spectators. (Gareth Copley)

Cricket really doesn’t help itself.

It’s not rained at Lord’s for about an hour and a half. But instead of playing they took an early lunch - despite wet weather due this pm.

Start at 1pm, then 11 balls later they’re back in cos - shock horror - it’s raining!

Something seems to have changed because previously Lord’s wickets *were* indeed the best.
