@FedFarmers A problem is that buying solely pasture based milk is now tricky and costly. It should be the default at the default price, not something customers pay a premium for. I love dairy from cows on pasture. I don't buy milk from cows fed on pasture and PKE from South East Asia

@MikeHudema Yet I think this graph is faulty (or at best misleading) in the way it generalises. For example soybeans (grown post rainforest removal) less than smallholder shade grown coffee (when coffee is added to sustainable agroforestry systems, with significant carbon sequestration)?...

Important research by Jacques. Having studied sites with banded rail before and after mangrove removal, I'm not surprised by his findings. Mangroves are critical habitat for this wetland bird (and many other indigenous taonga).
