I didnt win an evo because the comp i went against when i went to evo are champions who play the game for 30 hours + a week man. In 2014 when i started competing, i was 16 and still in high school, fighting against legendary players who have traveled to japan france europe and back lol, playing a much harder game. i got 33rd out of 1024 entrants in evo 2024 for tekken. FK, DJT,MIT,REO are all people i am aware of and have played against in mortal kombat too, namely 11. none of that changes what i said. They were not the legends they are considered today when the game was new, and they also dont let PL win anything since then 😂 It wouldnt be an issue if he was like any of the dudes you mentioned and helped uplift the community

I think you’re talking to me like I don’t know what it’s like to compete which is weird. Just because you can’t see yourself winning tournaments doesn’t mean other people can’t. I’ve never won a major but I’ve won plenty of locals and have traveled for my game so I know what it’s like to be a contender. PL having age on me and entering tournaments when no one knew how to play is just funny to me, (i didn’t start playing games seriously until 2014) and it’s a common thing his fans like to fall back on. Nigga be entering 73 man tournaments in games like dead or alive and call himself a champion lol he is not someone anyone should look to

News flash I actually travel and I been apart of the tekken community for over 12 years. It’s helped me learn about other fighting games and meet new people all around the world. Being introduced to so many different cultures and ideas about life all because we share a common interest for a game. It’s really cool! Then you have people like this Demetrius guy and perfect legend who seem themselves as some type of underdog in the community and want praise for their achievements but they aren’t really that impressive on the grand scale of things. Everyone wants to give respect to Carl for his efforts in gaming when no one really knew how to use practice mode or thought events were anything other than “nerd conventions”. Winning in a space when things are new is certainly something to be applauded for, but when you don’t pivot your wins into something that can be a major benefit to the community you eventually fall off the ladder of relevancy. Perfect legend and his fans often remind me of leffen and his fans, or DSP and his fans, or lowtiergod and his fans, absolute blind loyalty and dedication to the experience they had with the person who created it for them. Regardless of the multitude of negative interactions they have created within the FGC and the people around them, many people see their early accolades and latch onto the idea that they are skilled without doing any research on them as a person. The reason PL isn’t jwong or knee or anyone he mentioned when ducking Ali is because OF his ego as you so said isn’t in your video. PL will continue to ruin his name and ppl like you will continue to suck his balls because you’re both garbage at fighting games and thinking critically and it shows. I haven’t heard the term elitism since the dumbass niggas who made it up back in 2009 quit fighting games to go work in construction where they belong lol
