@562sports So this ruling is a double edged sword you’re punishing the school for the violation but also punishing the student athlete as well who’s trying to go to a new school get a scholarship? It’s a lose lose situation more the student athlete 2 yr ban is wild
Highschool OCs,
In high school, time isn’t on your side. Less is more.
Below is a simple 3 day practice planner to better assist you during game week 👇🏽
@CoachPeck11 Don’t Really Have a call for the single side hitch; so we’ll say it like this: Trips RT Pistol 23 Counter Read Razor X-Houston(Probably hand signaled the single side in w/ the X & QB)
@CoachShiffman No & Yes if that makes sense. If def shows a new look. Like they’re a Even / Stack front then show a 50 Sam On (Tuff) or tag it like as a Eagle Front. I’m fine with them changing protection(after we chalk it) not the play tho bc I’m the OL Coach, I’m not the OC (sadly🥲)
@CoachJSmith55 At the HS Level. See what kind of players I have. Then adjust from there. But We Predicate the Run. Decide whether we use a Zone Foundation or Inside Veer/ Power & both Triple Opt. Quick Game through the air. Before all that we learn Def Fronts & Coverages
@CoachDingus Prepare the Backups the same as the starters getting the same amount of reps. So if one goes down slide the man in. If I don’t have more than 5, Starters would get most of the reps but their backups are watching & then get their burn during scout O
@CoachShiffman Out of 20 & 21 personnel it depends for me. If they at the line of scrimmage it’s Blast. Then there’s G Power, Wide Zone/ Stretch. I’ll also run inside zone too since the FB gives me a Backside kick out block
@CoachShiffman Out of 10 & 11 personnel Speed Option. Outside Zone tagging a B Gap Read. Power w/ a Long Call telling the Pulling Guard he kicking the DE out everyone else down down. If we run Power Option read the Playside End, down down, pull to Jesus, & sift the Backside
