In 2014, Blaise Compaore in Burkina Faso tried to extend his term after being in power for 27 years, and Burkinabè people decided that it won’t be happening.
A mass uprising took place and Compaore attempted through brute force to crush protests. He failed and fled Burkina Faso.
Now we have Zimbabweans giving us all sorts of excuses about why they keep a useless and corrupt dictator power and allowing him to extend his term.
That Mnangagwa is a brutal dictator cannot be an excuse not to take to the streets and remove him. It is a sign of cowardice and defeatist disposition.
Zimbabweans portraying themselves as helpless victims of a brutal dictator is pathetic.
There has not been a single protest in Zimbabwe over the Mnangagwa term extension. None. Yet they expect South Africa to fight Mnangagwa for them.
There is no one who is going to save Zimbabwe from Mnangagwa and ZANU PF but Zimbabweans themselves.
Zimbabweans must stop being cowards!
The same way they took the land back, they can take their country back.
There are some lines you just don't cross, even as a joke. Zulu people take their identity and traditions seriously. Mocking an entire ethnic group while living in their country, especially when tensions between the two countries are already high, is incredibly reckless. Then, when people react, it's suddenly, "South Africans are xenophobic." This kind of behavior from Nigerians is unbelievably foolish.
Illegal immigration has really ruined our country.
I used to work at Game in Cresta during the June and December school holiday. I also had friends working in other stores and restaurants in the mall. By the time school holidays ended we were monied. That thing also kept us off the streets.

Just in:
Border Management Authority has arrested a Malawian National at the BeitBridge border post on possession of explosives cables.
These were found in his luggage bag.
This is a developing story
I don't understand the whole ruse about South Africa by Nigerians.
Yes, xenophobia is bad, if they have to resort to Xenophobic attacks to get you out of their country it means they really don't need you in their country.
Get the fuck out of their country and use your genius ideas that helped develop South Africa to develop Nigeria.
Of course, you will never question yourself for why they are so hell-bent on kicking you out. Of course, they are just bad people and you are the good guys.
You are such awesome people that not only South Africans hate you, but most European countries also hate to see your passport, the United States also tightened its immigration policy because of you and Somalia.
Other African countries hate you and of course, they are all wrong and jealous of your tremendous success.
You are brilliant and tend to be very successful, but the only place you can not replicate your success is back home in Nigeria.
Everyone hates Nigeria and everyone on earth is a terrible person for hating Nigerians the all saints and chosen people of Africa.
The Jews of Africa.
The shameless self-imposed giant of Africa.
There was a time when university students could rely on holiday jobs as shop assistants or waiters to earn an income. All that is gone now.
This unemployment crisis is not just an economic problem. it is dehumanizing. 😭💔
I say this calmly 🙌South Africa is not embarrassed. Not by a match. Not by a score. Not by the noise of those who cheer against us. Win or lose, our Bafana Bafana will return home and we will welcome them with open arms. Because they are ours. They belong to us. And we would rather have them home, safe and fed, than starving in other people's countries, begging for scraps. We love them unconditionally. That is what it means to be South African.
And since we are keeping score, since some are so eager to measure which country is better, which is greater, which leads, let us not forget, South Africa is winning. Not just on the pitch, but on the world stage.
Our Patrice Motsepe is the President of CAF. The Confederation of African Football. The highest office in African football. Not Nigeria. Not Kenya. Not Zimbabwe. South Africa. That is not luck. That is leadership. That is respect earned.
We have the best infrastructure, the best healthcare, the best constitution, the best agricultural sector. We feed ourselves and our neighbours. South Africa is mother to your absent fathers. We treat the sick of the continent. We host global events. We lead in innovation, in finance, in democracy. We are not perfect but we are great.
So you can cheer against us. Tweet your petty insults. Wish us to lose. We will not be shaken. We will not be provoked. We will simply continue to build, to lead, to win on our own terms.
Because South Africa does not need validation. We have results. We have each other as South Africans, a truly remarkable diverse country. We have a future that shines brighter than their bitterness. And that is the quiet, confident truth they cannot stand. 🇿🇦
This is the harsh reality South African citizens are forced to tolerate because our government seems paralyzed by its accountability to the AU and the United Nations. What is happening in Mayfair is a breaking point; individuals who arrived seeking asylum are now showing a completely different side, leaving local communities feeling unsafe, frustrated, and utterly abandoned by the systems meant to protect them.
