A BLOW TO THE CITIZENS PROJECT…The passing of Mr. Manyatera ‘Wazadza’ is a huge subtraction to #CitizenPower. He was a true citizen leader, changing our political landscape in remarkable and organic ways. His contribution is testament to the power of CITIZENOCRACY, that citizen philosophy and signifies the importance of every voice as we journey towards a new Great Zimbabwe.

Mr ‘Wazadza’ is the evidence that seniority in the struggle is by contribution and not position or title. He embodied the belief that every citizens voice, regardless of age or social standing, holds significance as we journey towards a new Great Zimbabwe.

Even in death, he will continue to inspire citizens especially the young to contribute towards the building of a great nation path.

He reminds us that ordinary citizens can achieve extraordinary feats in the quest to build a New Great Zimbabwe. He serves as proof that the people’s struggle is driven from the base and by the grassroots.

Today marks exactly one week since our comrade and Woman Councillor for Wandegeya, Sharon Kemigisha was abducted. She went missing on Friday last week after previously receiving numerous threats. Sharon is a mother of three. Her first born is in P.7, the second in P.4 and the last one in Baby Class. You can all imagine the trauma these little children have endured this whole week as they ask, "Where is mummy?" Sadly, abductions of political activists have been so normalised in Uganda, but each time it happens, it affects families in ways we can never imagine. WE DEMAND TO KNOW WHERE SHARON IS! If she committed any offence, why isn't she produced in court and charged? Our demand that for accountability for these crimes against humanity gets ever more urgent!

🟣TODAY, the High Court will hear my appeal against the conviction and sentence in the dead baby tweet case.

Last year, I was convicted and sentenced for tweeting on the basis of an offence that doesn’t exist and has been confirmed as invalid by the Constitutional Court.

When I was arrested, I spent a week in Chikurubi, awaiting bail. In 2021, I tweeted against police brutality after a viral video circulated showing a woman accosting a police officer because he’d harmed her baby. Everyone in the video shouted “auraya mwana.” The police issued a public statement confirming the incident. The police officer was never brought to book.

Upon condemning the unconstitutional and excessive use of force, I was arrested on the allegation that I had “published a falsehood” despite the video evidence of the incident and the contemporaneous statements of eye witnesses at the scene on the day.

Thank you to my lawyer, old boss and mentor, David Drury, for defending my rights and running the case so astutely. I owe him a debt of gratitude.

2. If they are using it as this picture suggests, are they exempt from being arrested because they are a subsidiary of Zimpapers which is majority owned by Govt?

3. Why are other users of @Starlink being arrested yet @ZBCNewsonline and companies affiliated with Govt get away with it?

THIS ZIMBABWE MUST COME…This was at Doroi camp in Mozambique before the 1980 independence. The young people had so much hope in the future. This hope has not materialized. 1. Does ZBC use the same Starlink you’re trying to ban citizens from using? Who sold it to them? Who authorized its use?

2. Is it true that the son of an ex-Minister and a Minister is a Starlink dealer? If true, is he licensed or is he exempt from the rules you make for common citizens?
