I'm excited to announce a new NFL statistic I invented called OASIS (Opponent-Adjusted Situational Impact Score)

Many people are familiar with Expected Points Added (EPA), which attempts to assign a numerical value to plays.

The problem with EPA is that it does not adjust for the Opponent or the situation in the game.

For example, a 10-yard gain from the 25-yard line in a tie game vs. the Chiefs in the 4th Quarter is weighted the same as in the 3rd Q of a 35-point blowout vs. the Panthers.

I've included the 2024-25 OASIS Offensive/Defensive Rankings.
