Can lower doses still have an effect?

Dr. Makis discusses a published ovarian cancer case reported by Dr. Tess Lawrie.

The dosing chart lists the patient as receiving 12 mg of Ivermectin per day. During his discussion, Dr. Makis explains that this was approximately 0.2 mg/kg/day, placing it within the chart's Low Dose (≤0.5 mg/kg/day) range.

📉 According to the case report, the patient's CA125 tumor marker reportedly fell from 288 to 22 after two months.

That case is one reason Dr. Makis believes Ivermectin may have anticancer activity even at lower doses.

He also believes the available evidence suggests the effect is dose dependent.

What about the most aggressive cancers?

According to Dr. Makis, a physician with terminal gallbladder cancer reportedly took 2 mg/kg/day for 14 months.

He says her cancer eventually disappeared.

She experienced temporary visual side effects that resolved after a few days.

❓How high have reported doses gone?

According to Dr. Makis, he has seen reported doses as high as 2.5 mg/kg/day.

He references patients treated by Dr. Shankara Chetty who reportedly used those doses without long-term side effects, although some experienced temporary visual disturbances that later resolved.

He references the Castro study involving children with leukemia who reportedly received Ivermectin for six months without long-term side effects.

So why aren't there larger cancer trials?

Because Ivermectin is an off-patent generic medicine, he argues there is little financial incentive to fund large clinical trials.

The Mitch McConnell–John Thune machine and Lisa Murkowski are not merely failing to pass the SAVE America Act. Their actions have produced a structured obstruction campaign in which each part of the Senate establishment performs a different role.

Lisa Murkowski is the open opposition. She publicly attacked the bill, delivered a Senate-floor speech against it and voted with Democrats against beginning consideration of it. She was the only Republican to vote no on the March 17 motion to proceed.

Murkowski is not politically independent of the Senate establishment. Mitch McConnell’s national political apparatus helped protect her from the Republican voters who wanted her removed. The National Republican Senatorial Committee supported Murkowski against the Trump-endorsed and Alaska Republican Party-endorsed Kelly Tshibaka, while McConnell-aligned outside spending attacked Tshibaka and helped preserve Murkowski’s seat. Billionaire establishment donor Ken Griffin also put $1.5 million into Alaskans for L.I.S.A., the super PAC created to keep Murkowski in office.

That investment now matters. The establishment spent heavily to preserve a Republican senator who could provide the decisive Republican opposition to Trump’s election legislation. Murkowski gave Democrats bipartisan cover and allowed the Senate machine to claim the bill faced broader resistance than simple Democratic obstruction.

McConnell’s role was control of the bottleneck. As chairman of the Senate Rules Committee, he controlled the committee with jurisdiction over federal-election legislation. The earlier SAVE legislation was allowed to sit for months rather than being immediately marked up and forced through the committee. A committee chairman does not need to vote against a bill to kill its momentum. He can deny it urgency, consume the legislative calendar and wait until the bill faces a manufactured time crisis.

John Thune’s role was controlled failure on the Senate floor. After months of pressure from President Trump and House conservatives, Thune finally brought the SAVE America Act forward. He did so while keeping in place the 60-vote obstacle that leadership knew Republicans could not overcome. Republican leadership was openly acknowledging before the decisive stage that it did not possess enough votes to defeat the filibuster.

Thune then filled the amendment tree, giving leadership control over which amendments could receive votes. That maneuver prevented rank-and-file senators from freely offering alternatives and kept the entire floor process under leadership management.

The result was exactly what the machine’s structure was designed to produce: speeches, a prolonged debate, a recorded vote and no law.

This is not three unrelated events.

The McConnell network financed and protected Murkowski.

Murkowski supplied the Republican vote against advancing the bill.

McConnell controlled the committee bottleneck.

Thune controlled the floor schedule, the amendment process and the decision to leave the bill trapped behind the filibuster.

The Senate establishment wants credit for supporting election integrity without accepting the political cost of passing the legislation. It can tell Republican voters that Democrats blocked the bill while concealing the fact that Republican leaders controlled when it moved, how it moved and whether every available procedural weapon was used.

The House has continued tying the SAVE America Act to major legislation because rank-and-file conservatives understand that ordinary Senate procedure is being used to bury it. President Trump has likewise used leverage over unrelated legislation because Republican Senate leadership has demonstrated that speeches and symbolic votes will not produce enactment. Recent House efforts to attach the act to larger spending legislation show that the fight is continuing precisely because the Senate process failed.

In January the American government stood up and announced that the war on saturated fat was over. Then it left the limit on saturated fat exactly where it was.
