@SamanthaDou@TOHousing@CityNewsTO@cityoftoronto Thanks for sharing your experience, Samantha. It must be challenging to prepare your meals in these circumstances. When did this incident occur?
Have you ever thought of contacting other regulatory bodies to facilitate the process of addressing this health & safety situation?
So to recap:
The chief of staff, who received “packages” from developers and then sped up Greenbelt removals on their behalf — keeps his job.
His boss, the Minister of housing — keeps his job.
The Premier who approved the land swaps — keeps his job.

Most of Toronto Community Housing does not have air conditioning. Nor did Long Term Care homes throughout Ontario until they started fining them this year.
@skandhala@TOHousing Thanks for sharing! Other tenants have come forward and shared similar sentiments with us. We hope @TOHousing will make the records from these discussions public and accessible. @ombudsmanTO@CTVNews
NEW REPORT: Toronto's Ombudsman found that the City's social housing provider, Toronto Community Housing Corporation, has not treated its tenants' human rights and dignity with the priority they deserve. This is unacceptable. Learn more here: https://t.co/ShbRBITxnt
Everyone has a right to housing without discrimination based on race, religion, sexual orientation, and more.

@TOHousing Human Rights consultation sessions have started and tenants have yet to receive a link to the session? Intentional? False sense of engagement? @ombudsmanTO@maan_alhmidi
@TOHousing Then why bother reminding tenants via a tweet (posted, Wed., August 2nd, 4:48 pm) to pre-register for a session the following day, if registrations after (5:25 pm, less than an hour of the reminder) would be ignored? Seems unreasonable and misleading. #Tchc@TOHousing
“They talk a great story & they want to see a lot of #AffordableHousing & we presented them with a project ... & they really got excited when we first dealt with them. But when it came time to start writing cheques & sharing money, they kind of became very slow at decision making...”

Uniting to tackle the housing crisis together.
Tenant rights must never take a backseat – they must lead the way in all stakeholder interactions, people engagement, tenant relations, and policy decisions @TOHousing#Toronto#Collaboration#HousingRights#HousingForAll#tchc
Thank you for bringing awareness around concerns & experiences of TCHC tenants, particularly issues with @TOHousing misconduct & the barriers to & misrepresentation of info on policies, procedures and processes related to Human Rights etc, @globalnews@globalnewsto@maan_alhmidi
We encourage TCHC tenants to participate in today’s Human Rights (HR) policy session. You might wonder, why is @TOHousing holding this session. The good news is it's in response to the @globalnews and @ombudsmanTO holding TCHC accountable for misleading tenant’s about their HRs.

@TOHousing It’s important that tenants understand that @TOHousing is holding these sessions because TCHC was reported to be sharing incorrect and misleading information about its human rights complaint process. - @ombudsmanTO
