TOMORROW IS A MYSTERY
BIBLE READINGS :
James 4:13-17
Genesis 37:1-10
Proverbs 27:1
Matthew 6:34
Lamentations 3:22-23
Genesis 12:1 - 4
Psalm 90:12
Introduction
The Man of God began by reminding us of the events happening around the world today. These happenings should remind us that the appointed time when God will call us home is drawing nearer. Therefore, as Christians, we must remain fervent in our devotion and walk closely with God.
He said that when we come to God once, God comes to us a million times. Our relationship with Him should be our greatest priority because He alone knows the future.
Tomorrow Is a Mystery
The Man of God said:
> "What gives me concern is tomorrow. Tomorrow is greater and stronger than anything. Whatever we do today, we should always think about tomorrow."
Tomorrow is sitting on a time bomb because nobody truly knows what tomorrow holds. Therefore, we must hold firmly to God, the One who knows tomorrow.
According to James 4:13-17, we should never boast about what we have or what we plan to do because tomorrow is a mystery. Everything we possess, our wealth, achievements, opportunities, and successes, comes from God by His grace. Therefore, there is no room for pride or boasting.
Many people are smarter, wiser, and more talented than us, yet some are struggling while others have passed away. The fact that we are still alive today is purely by God's grace.
Grace Is Speaking for You
We should reflect on the situations we have gone through that could have taken our lives but did not. That alone is evidence that God's grace is speaking for us.
When God's grace speaks for a person, they can boldly say:
> "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." (Philippians 4:13)
God has not placed anyone ahead of you permanently because He knows that whatever you become will come from Him.
Do not focus on what people say about you. Focus on who God is and what He can do for you. Trusting in people or in your own strength leads to disappointment, but trusting in God brings confidence because He is the Governor of Tomorrow.
Your Future Is Greater Than Your Present
Jesus Christ governs our lives.
Your life is not defined by what you are today but by what you will become tomorrow.
What you will become tomorrow is greater than what you are today. Never think that your present condition is your final destination.
A person can remain joyful even when there seems to be nothing to celebrate because tomorrow is a mystery.
Hold on to Jesus, the Owner of Tomorrow. Whatever tells you that you cannot make it, remember that tomorrow is bigger than what you are hearing today.
Never judge people based on their present situation because tomorrow can change everything.
Better Is Yet to Come
The future is not now; it is tomorrow.
What you see today is not the end of your story. Better is not good enough because the best is yet to come.
Many great people in history were once weak, rejected, poor, or unknown. Today, they have become role models and sources of inspiration.
A failure today is not a failure forever. Therefore, focus on what God can do rather than what circumstances are saying.
The Story of Joseph
Using Joseph's story in Genesis 37:1-10, the Man of God explained that God can reveal a glorious future before it becomes reality.
Joseph dreamed of greatness, but before the dream came to pass, he experienced rejection, betrayal, slavery, and imprisonment.
When God gives you a dream or a prophetic word, do not think you have already arrived. Instead, let it motivate you to work harder and trust God more.
Prophetic messages may not happen immediately, but they provide strength to endure the shame, pain, and challenges that come before the reward.
Pain Before Gain
There is gain in life, but pain often comes first.
If you have not faced challenges, do not expect lasting success.

Key Message
Using Joshua 24:19-23, the Man of God taught that whatever a person truly believes is what they will confess. We cannot genuinely confess what we do not believe. Joshua believed in the God of Israel and openly declared Him as the God he would serve.
A time spent with God is a time well spent. The closer we come to God, the better we understand His will and purpose for our lives. God created us for fellowship with Him and desires that we spend precious time in His presence.
The question was asked:
"Do you have time for God?"
Many people have drifted away from God, investing their time in things that are temporary and have no lasting value. God does not draw near to those who refuse to draw near to Him.
Coming close to God means cultivating a relationship, fellowship, and union with Him. Choosing God is choosing the better path. When we make Him our priority, He reveals the greatness of His blessings toward us.
Those who belong to God become His treasured possession. God never abandons what belongs to Him. Therefore, we should ask ourselves:
"Am I truly God's own?"
If we are God's own, we are His property, and He faithfully watches over His own.
The Requirements for Serving God
Referring to Deuteronomy 10:12, the Man of God emphasized that God requires us to:
Fear the Lord.
Walk in all His ways.
Love Him.
Serve Him with all our heart and soul.
If we truly love God with all our heart, we will avoid doing things that displease Him.
As human beings, God has given us understanding to know right from wrong. Therefore, it is not an excuse to continue in wrongdoing. Persistent disobedience is a deliberate act of resistance against God.
Joshua understood the tendency of the Israelites to make promises and then return to their old ways. That is why he warned them concerning the seriousness of serving the Lord.
Love Is Part of Serving God
Referring to Galatians 5:13-14, the Man of God asked:
"When we hear the instruction, 'Love your neighbour as yourself,' where does it come from? If it comes from God, why don't we do it?"
Serving God is not limited to prayers, fasting, and attending church services. It is also demonstrated in how we treat others.
God commands us to love our neighbours as ourselves. Therefore, anyone who claims to love God must also show love, kindness, patience, forgiveness, and compassion toward others.
The question remains:
"Are you truly serving God?"
One of the greatest proofs of our service to God is our willingness to obey His command to love others.
Obedience Is Essential
Using 2 Chronicles 7:14, the Man of God explained that "our land" can be understood as our own lives and bodies.
God desires obedience from His children. At the beginning of our walk with God, obedience may seem difficult. However, as we grow spiritually, we begin to understand that every instruction from God is for our good.
Anything that becomes strong and mature must first pass through a stage of weakness and growth.
Do Not Be Distracted by Life's Challenges
Do not focus your attention on the difficulties of life. Instead, focus on the One you are serving.
Pain, disappointment, and hurt can become distractions if we allow them.
Whenever you experience pain, disappointment, or betrayal, remember that your primary duty remains to serve God.
God has not called us to abandon Him because of hardship. Life is not always easy. There are seasons of tears, trials, and challenges.
If you have never cried through difficult situations, then you have not fully experienced life. Challenges are part of the human journey.
