Republicans were able to win in 2024 without the SAVE Act.
So why wouldn’t they be able to win in 2025 without the SAVE Act?
Oh yeah. Because this administration sucks and the SAVE Act is a voter suppression Hail Mary to save them from consequences.
They’re literally admitting it’s voter suppression in their talking points.
.@JamesTalarico: I have no problem sharing hard truths and disagreeing with the powers that be in my own party. I’m a Democrat because I feel like it’s the best vehicle to unite working people — but if the party is not doing that, I have no problem calling it out.
In Texas, we have been suffering for 30 years under one-party rule. One-party rule always leads to extremism and corruption because there’s not a check on that power.
We have the opportunity to finally end 30 years of one-party rule in Texas. If we do that, I think it’s gonna improve public policy for all of us.
Somehow Republicans won the presidency, House, and Senate without the SAVE Act. Yet somehow they will never win again without it?
All this while advocates cannot produce any credible evidence of mass voter fraud that is supposedly making it impossible for Republicans to win.
Talarico: "Here's why they're doing this. There's another war in the Middle East. There's a cost of living crisis crushing the middle class. There's a secret pedophile ring and no one has been prosecuted. So the people responsible are trying to distract us with the same old culture wars ... what do the American people care more about -- pronouns or prices?"
Here’s why MAGA is attacking our movement:
There’s a new war in the Middle East.
There’s a cost of living crisis.
There’s a secret pedophile ring.
They're hoping Americans care more about culture wars than actual wars. More about pronouns than prices.
We're not falling for it.
Lemme get this straight…
Republicans have control of Congress.
Democrats introduce a clean bill to fully fund TSA.
Republicans block it.
Then they blame Democrats for long wait times at airports?
This is on them.
I've seen TX Rs lose their composure over a lot of things but never the emotional meltdown happening now when the Dem Sen nominee shares faith & the teachings of Jesus with passion, knowledge, and empathy. It screws up their whole pray+hate=profit business/political model.
This isn’t 2001. I’m not a child in grade school and there isn’t enough propaganda to get me to want war with Iran or any other country. None of this is for the American people and y’all definitely not liberating anyone by bombing them. Get new talking points.
Don't buy it. Remember, @GregAbbott_TX has been TX Gov for nearly 12 years. He's been sitting in elected office drawing a fat government paycheck for 30 years. EVERY problem w/ crime, taxes, auto & home insurance, grid failure, flood failure, & sky high utilities are on him.
.@jamestalarico: I've had a lot of interviews with national media. No one's ever asked me about the cost of housing. No one's asked me about the cost of prescription drugs. The only thing the media wants to ask me about are trans athletes.
The only minority destroying this country is the billionaires. Trans people are 1% of the population. Undocumented people are 1% of the population. We are all focused on the wrong 1%.
Trans people aren't taking away our healthcare. Undocumented people aren't defunding our schools. It's the billionaires and their puppet politicians
Talarico: They're going to throw everything they have at us. They're going to call me a radical leftist. They're going to call me a fake Christian. They'll call our movement un-American. They'll call us a threat. The only truth is we are a threat to their corrupt system.
I never wanna fan girl for any politician but the Talarico hate is so unfounded. We have a candidate who is progressive and can sell these progressive ideas to the Christian republicans and make them realize they’ve been voting against their own interests. Why do y’all hate him
This morning I called James and congratulated him on becoming the Senate nominee. Texas is primed to turn blue and we must remain united because this is bigger than any one person. This is about the future of all 30 million Texans and getting America back on track. With the primary behind us, Democrats must rally around our nominees and win. I’m committed to doing my part and will continue working to elect democrats up and down the ballot.
