A whole mansion into a summer home huh? Well I hope you got a good deal off it then, but it's good to hear the nomad life style fits you.
I can see the dough making potential working as a traveling monster hunter. Kinda like pest control, just a whole lot bigger.
Trust me, it doesn't smell as good as you think. Too many smells mixed together creates a concoction that would kill a vampire for standing near it.
( More than likely a hyperbole, but with monster hunting, you gotta have all of your gear )
I don't even own a house,+
I know the risks plenty, if I made it this far I know I can hold on long enough to destroy it once and for all.
Besides, I can't trust anyone else with it. It's a burden surr, but it's mine to bare alone.
If you had any self preservation instincts you would have gotten that thing off your hands a long time ago now.
Oh well... you know the risks already I'm sure.
Sounds like a cramped but efficient lifestyle. Probably smells like a candel shop mixed with a funeral home If I were to take an educated guess.
I got the same issues with solo-financing my business too. Sorta been relying on my office to be both an office and-
The Venator orders also full of rules and guidelines, not my style. My caravan carries all my tools and my trinkets, you know how many herbs and flowers you can fit into a single cabinet? Tons. Just means it'll also smell like a hundred different things.
Working solo does +
Is it really though? For your sake, having it broken into and having that tome taken off of your hands might be the real best case scenario, Detective.
That... makes perfect sense actually. I imagine you have to have the right tools for the right jobs, unless you're a venator and decide to carry everything on them.
I respect the solo act, I'm sorta the same being a private detective instead of working with the cursed-
Ehhh, it requires a little solving. Monsters are like puzzles, you know? Sometimes it's about figuring out where they camp out, or who's hiding amongst the humans. It's a fun job after you get used to being alone. There's alotta organizations that probably have better+
I heard it pays decently enough, I know a werewolf who's in that kind of business.
Can't say that kinda life is something I'd enjoy. Much rather help solve the truth and crack cases instead of cracking skulls.
Yeah that's an issue..guess it's a little easy to tell you how to do things when I'm...how do you Americans say it? Loaded?
Monster hunting pays well when you're a private business, and with the prestige of my name, it's rather easy to uphike the price if I wanna.
I would if I could afford it. My Insurance doesn't cover your car being a magnet for molotov cocktails. That and the cost of constant office repairs, it's making my wallet pretty thin.
Sorta been relying on either camping out in my office or renting a hotel room for the night.
You wanna hear my advice? Live on the road. Stay mobile. Get a nice caravan or a truck, something that'll carry you and all your important needs.
I've got no tome of mine, but courtesy of grandpa Abe, I'm a walking monster magnet, so I can't really stay in one place.

You don't say...? Thing is, I didn't find it. It found me of all things. Sorta appeared on my desk, alongside a note saying don't let them get it. Haven't had a day where I hadn't look over my shoulder or sleep with one eye open since.
I did some research myself but-
Tomes tend to have that effect, I knew of a guy in Albania who had found a tome, by the time I got to his village..ehh, not a fun sight, people were fighting over who could take the thing. Now, not saying your tomes the same thing, mystical books get all sorts of crazy.

from the side his mouth, away from him and who had lit his cig. Taking it out of his mouth, before tapping the ash into a nearby trash can.
" Thanks for the assist. You got a name? "
He'd ask curiously, raising a ebrow at the ex-venator.
A look of surprise would form on his blue face. Clearly he wasn't expecting help from anyone, yet he found himself letting it be lit. Stuffing the lighter he had back in his pocket, he leaned away to take a long deserved drag from his cigarette.
Before puffing out smoke-
A random lighter, not of his one appears right under the cigarette. The flame bursts, fierce and finite, but enough time to ignite it before returning to the other's side.
โ I thought my condition a "๐๐๐๐๐"...
