David Howard Thornton, the actor who portrays Art the Clown, reveals Lady Gaga was an opening act for an off-Broadway show he was a part of in 2007.

"One night there was this girl named Stefani playing her songs on the piano. We'd hung out with her later on, and I was like, 'Oh my god, she's amazing, she's so talented.' It didn't dawn on me until years later … that was Lady Gaga. So in a weird way, Lady Gaga opened for Art the Clown."

O ator David Howard Thornton, conhecido por interpretar Art the Clown na franquia Terrifier, revelou no GalaxyCon 2026 que, muito antes da fama, Lady Gaga abriu uma apresentação de seu pequeno musical em um bar de Nova York, em 2007.

“Quando me mudei para Nova York, lá por 2006, 2007, eu estava fazendo um ‘musical off Broadway ’ chamado ‘Soul Searching’ e nós nos apresentávamos em diferentes bares pela cidade. Geralmente tínhamos alguém como atração de abertura para aquecer o público e, em uma noite, havia uma garota chamada Stefani tocando suas músicas no piano. Depois saímos com ela e eu pensei: ‘Meu Deus, ela é incrível, muito talentosa’. Só fui perceber isso anos depois. Eu estava conversando com um amigo que fazia o espetáculo comigo e falei: ‘Cara… aquela era a Lady Gaga!’Então, de um jeito meio estranho, a Lady Gaga abriu um show para o Art the Clown no Village, em Nova York, lá por 2007.”
