Today, I join millions of admirers, political associates, and well-wishers across Nigeria in celebrating an extraordinary statesman, leader, and father, His Excellency, Senator Jim Ifeanyichukwu Nwobodo, former Governor of old Anambra State, as he marks another glorious birthday.
This is so cute 🥰🇳🇬
If Nigeria started paying soldiers well, like N500K(300$) as monthly salary, many Nigerians will be willing to sacrifice their lives in defending the country.
But how do expect a malnourished soldier who earns about N100k(60$) to be happy?
It was my pleasure to host the Consul General of the Royal Danish Embassy in Nigeria, Jette Bjerrum, and a delegation of Danish government and business representatives today at Government House, Enugu.
Denmark sees the potential in our Smart Schools, agricultural value chains, waste-to-energy initiatives, logistics, international airport expansion, and healthcare projects. Their enthusiasm for our vision aligns with our commitment to de-risking investments, creating a business-friendly environment, and growing our economy sevenfold to $30 billion in the next six years.
We have already taken a bold step by partnering with the Danish company ODK Group to procure tractors, with plans for a local assembly plant here in Enugu. But this is just the beginning. With over 300,000 hectares secured in our landbank and the rollout of our Farm Estate initiative across all 260 electoral wards, agriculture remains the lifeblood of our economy, contributing 40% to our GDP.
Beyond crop production, we have secured about $20 million for investment in livestock. We are also developing a modern ranch capable of housing over 20,000 cows. Our Special Agro-Processing Zones will further ensure that manufacturers can operate seamlessly with access to essential infrastructure.
We take pride in Denmark’s recognition of Enugu as a rapidly developing land of opportunity. We welcome more investors who share our commitment to accountability, inclusivity, and innovation.
Tomorrow is Here!

Today, we welcomed our dear President, His Excellency, Bola Ahmed Tinubu @officialABAT, to Enugu State, where he graciously commissioned several transformative projects executed by our administration.
Among the projects commissioned were: 30 completed Enugu Smart Green Schools out of 260 under construction, 60 equipped Type 2 Primary Healthcare Centres across 260 wards, the Enugu International Conference Centre, a hub for global engagement, 90 newly completed urban roads to ease mobility in our cities, and a state-of-the-art Command and Control Centre with 150 AI-embedded patrol vehicles for enhanced security.
The President's acknowledgment of our efforts underscores the essence of our mission. From our investments in education, healthcare, and infrastructure to bolstering security, we are laying a solid foundation for a prosperous Enugu State.
These projects reflect our vision to grow Enugu's economy from $4.4 billion to $30 billion within the next eight years. It is a responsibility we owe to our dear people of Enugu State.
Security is key to this vision. Our AI-driven surveillance network and the Distress Response Squad have redefined safety across the state. This initiative guarantees peace of mind, ensuring our streets and neighbourhoods remain safe for residents and investors alike.
I want to assure my dear Ndi Enugu that this is just the beginning. As a government, we shall continue to build the Enugu of our dreams - a hub of opportunity, service delivery, and economic excellence.
I wholeheartedly echo the President's call that the elections are behind us and now is the time to unite and drive our nation forward. Regardless of political affiliations, we can build an Enugu State as well as a Nigeria that serves and uplifts everyone.
Thank you, Mr. President, for your support and recognition of our efforts.
Thank you for finding time to visit, as we look forward to seeing you again.
Tomorrow is here!
I'm delighted to share that His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu @officialABAT will pay a state visit to our beloved state tomorrow during which he will commission some of the transformative projects we've executed.
From the 30 completed and equipped Enugu Smart Green Schools out of the 260 under construction in the wards across our state, to the 60 completed Type 2 Primary Healthcare Centres out of the 260 under construction, these initiatives reflect our commitment to quality education and accessible healthcare for all. The completed multi-auditorium Enugu International Conference Centre, 90 urban roads, and our state-of-the-art Command and Control Centre with 150 patrol vehicles fitted with AI-embedded surveillance cameras are repositioning our state as a hub of progress, safety, and opportunity.
The President's visit will be a milestone for us; a testament to our shared vision that is taking shape. We are excited to welcome Mr President to Enugu State.
It bears restating that the minimum wage of N80,000, approved by our administration for both state and local government workers, reflects our commitment to leaving behind lasting legacies of improved living conditions.
Our dedication to workers' welfare is driven by a firm belief that a motivated workforce is essential for driving economic progress. There's an undeniable link between an inspired workforce and the bold economic targets we have set for our beloved state.
That is why we are committed to ensuring our workforce remains highly motivated, laying the groundwork for reducing poverty and achieving unprecedented economic growth in Enugu. For us, the best way to recognise that labour creates wealth is by ensuring that those who generate this wealth - the workforce - are well rewarded.
We consistently showed this commitment through the timely payment of wage awards, a practice we committed to sustaining until a new wage structure was in place as we have done today.
Indeed, our sights are firmly set on a prosperous Enugu, where growth and progress are not just goals but the very heartbeat of our journey. Let's keep doing more.
Whoever told you success is cheap and easy deceived you! In life, what you sow is what you reap. Start laying the foundations of success today, for only through hard work do great things grow.

When New-Watson met us in 2023, they were contemplating where to invest their resources, searching for the right environment to plant their seeds of innovation. I had the delight of welcoming them to Enugu State and sharing our ambitious vision for the future - one where our beloved state becomes the premier destination for investment, tourism, business and living.
Today, I had the pleasure of commissioning the New-Watson Doors Industry at Nachi, Enugu State, a remarkable testament to our shared belief in this vision. This factory is not just a building; it represents our administration's commitment to creating an enabling environment for investors to thrive.
It was an incredible moment as I shared our E-Governance digital journey with His Excellency, Kashim Shettima, Vice President of Nigeria, alongside the Executive Governor of Enugu State, Dr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, & the Deputy Speaker of the House, Benjamin Kalu. Govt House Enugu
