@Bruh257I94072@ReddTurtl@Starignite7@Waytooosweet Its crazy how I tried to keep it cool to argue with you properly but you ended up lashing out on somebody else's comment anyway😭😭 You could've just said this to begin with instead of trying to justify your version of the film
@Bruh257I94072@ReddTurtl@Starignite7@Waytooosweet I never said they need Aunt May to resolve the conflict. I'm saying her inclusion creates a much stronger emotional payoff for both Peter and Jean, which fits the themes of the movie. And as for 'why make Jean redemptive?' I recommend reading Classic X-Men #8
@Bruh257I94072@ReddTurtl@Starignite7@Waytooosweet Let's just agree to disagree. The scene with Aunt May more than justifies Jean for me. I just can't see Mr. Negative fulfilling that role. I think Jean provides a much stronger emotional payoff for both her own arc and Peter's, and it ties into the movie's themes perfectly.
@Bruh257I94072@ReddTurtl@Starignite7@Waytooosweet I'm confused. Are you arguing that they should make Mr. Negative more empathetic to fit your version of the film, or are you saying you think Hickman's version could work? Because I heavily disagree
