@TheTrueFIREGuy It depends on your age. When I started working 40 years ago, if you could save $250K, you’d be in the pink. By 20 years ago, inflation and gutted pensions meant you needed $1M min. By 10 years ago, you needed $2.5-$3M. It’s an ever moving target.

@aliciaandrz Cost avoidance measures by the employer. Shift costs to others is the quickest path to profit. Make employees pay for their commute and also to park at work-instant profit. Dump all your hazardous waste in a pit on the back of the property-instant profit.
