First time judging brandy classes at the Riverland Wine Show, a real treat! The alternate varieties & blends were a particular highlight. Kudos to the committee & Riverland community on making the show happen!

@AdrianPAtkinson @Tony_Milanowski@PhilipReedman@taylorswines @JacobsCreekAU The 2002 is a stunner. 2012 too! Sadly not, Covid restrictions have made tastings a challenge. But we look fwd to tasting in big groups again one day!
@Tony_Milanowski @AdrianPAtkinson @PhilipReedman@taylorswines Great work! We had our museum tasting the other week & thought the @JacobsCreekAU Classic Riesling aged beautifully across most vintages. 2002 being a particular highlight! The current vintage in 2019 won a trophy at Sydney Royal Wine Show & is well worth getting your hands on!
@GreatrixBrad@Nyetimber Should be a very fine example of fine English sparkling wine in a strong vintage. Rumour has it that the cellar supervisor at the time ensured that all juices were cut at the press to perfection & that the presses were clean enough to eat off between loads...
Raising a glass tonight to a #wine legend in Len Evans, who would have been 90 today. It seemed fitting to open this 2005 Tower Estate Chairman’s Selection #Shiraz#Cabernet blended by Len. Cheers to his legacy, the #LenEvansTutorial & our special #WineIndustry#Evans90 🍷
@PhilipReedman @DariusCheesman @PRWinemakers @Vintage_Cellars Amazing it took that extra 20 years for the rubber to really hit the road. I believe there were about 1,000 cases of the Watervale put under screw cap & that @VintageCellars sold through it all pretty quickly! It’s a delicious wine & will probably last another decade...
@dandawineman @PRWinemakers Nice one Dan! The 92 & 98 Lawson’s were my pick from our museum tasting late last year. Absolute time capsule wines displaying regionality, poise, power & precision. The colour on both was just amazing & they still have plenty more life left! Can’t wait to see them evolve!
@ruthharris44 @PRWinemakers @JacobsCreekAU The ferment is just about dry and it’s looking pristine. Super fresh with a hint of gaminess. I’ll leave it on skins a little longer to draw out a bit more extract, as it can certainly take it. Would love to see it sold at JCVC if it keeps tracking this way!
High risk high reward winemaking... 3t of Barossa handpicked Nergoamaro air dried for nearly 2 weeks, now shrivelled down to 2.5t, in an effort to make an Amarone style red! @PRWinemakers @JacobsCreekAU #negroamaro#amarone#barossa#barossavalley#wine#redwine#highrisk
