The national budget which was to be tabled on 20 May 2020 by the Minister of Finance, has been postponed to 11 June 2020, in order to align with budget speech presentations for other EA countries.

The Bank of Tanzania issued a press statement on Tuesday, providing fiscal incentives to financial institutions amidst the Covid19 pandemic. The benefits from these incentives when applied by financial institutions, shall trickle down to end consumers.
