@songprocess Being emotionally distraught does make it hard to be creative, the trick is to channel that angsts into the creative process Not every song you write has to have an upbeat positive message, you can write about social injustice and despair even if you're writing techno dance tunes

@songprocess @jeremiahfraites @thelumineers I'm sure there are those who can relate to his personal creative struggle, but I've written so many songs in 2020 that I can now do a complete 3 hr. show of nothing but original material. The hard part has been moving from mostly public venues to mostly private ones.
