I usually don't post things like this, but editors/freelancers deserve to be paid.
A YouTuber, MasterBucks (@TheMasterBucks), reached out to hire me as an editor. We agreed on $200 upfront after delivery + a percentage of the video's earnings.
Before starting, I even did a small free trial edit, which he said was exactly what he wanted.
Then I edited a full video around 40 minutes after the edit and around freaking four hours of recording, then made a few requested revisions, and delivered the final version.
After that, he stopped replying to my messages.
A week ago, he uploaded the exact video I edited, but I still haven't received payment or even a response.
I'm not asking for sympathy. I'm just asking him to honor the agreement and pay for the work that was delivered.
