We are constantly trying to prove something to the world:

shouldn't every community first be willing to defend justice within its own community?

In Japan, rights and responsibilities come together.

If you demand rights,
you also accept obligations.

Is the rest of the world not the same?

To respect the rights of others while asking for your own rights is civilization.

To ignore the rights of others while demanding your own rights is not civilization.

It is not equality.

It is not justice.

And if a person cannot understand that,

then they are behaving worse than a child.

A child simply does not know better.

A person who knows better and still does it has chosen selfishness.

At that point, what separates them from an animal?

A monkey grabbing whatever it wants.
A dog fighting over a scrap of meat.
A pig pushing others aside to reach the trough first.

Rights without responsibility.

That is not equality.

That is the law of the jungle.
