No one teaches you how to let go. Not really. You just end up in situations where you have to figure it out for yourself, while feeling like you’re being ripped apart inside. And then you start wondering why it’s so hard, and why it takes so long, and why you can’t just get over it like people say you should.
Unhealed trauma makes you hold onto people longer than you should, and tolerate a lot of sh*t you don't deserve because you don't want to feel alone. Healing makes you realize some people don't deserve to be in your life — no matter how much you love them.
