Abusive leaders who accumulate excess privilege will often use that excess to purchase favors from friends.

Perhaps they have friends in media who can give them access to their platforms.

They use their excess to gain access at the expense of others.

Turns out Trump only had a two year window to file a lawsuit over his tax return release. That window closed long before Trump made a deal with the DOJ. The people of the United States owe Trump nothing for a payout. Andrew Weissman says this 1.776 billion dollar slush fund is flat out theft and is not part of his official acts. Trump has no immunity for theft. He said anyone involved in putting together this theft is also open to prosecution.

I support the Colorado Democratic Party's censure of Polis. But that's not enough. The General Assembly should reconvene to investigate and hold him accountable. And if he commuted Tina Peters' sentence at the behest of Donald Trump, surrendering the sovereign authority of Colorado, he should be impeached.
