The Democrats have caused the CHAOS in our nation’s airports by refusing to fund DHS and pay our TSA agents.
While they continue their political games, President Trump is taking decisive action by deploying our patriotic @ICEgov officers to support airports and TSA officers being adversely impacted by this shutdown.
This is intentional. ⬇️ Democrats are holding American travelers hostage and denying federal workers their paychecks for political leverage.
End the games. REOPEN DHS!
The Democrats’ political games are forcing our @TSA officers to work without pay for the THIRD time in six months — forcing many to leave the force, including 35 in New England.
This loss leaves CRITICAL gaps in staffing and significantly decreases TSA’s ability to meet passenger demand, as each new recruit requires 4-6 MONTHS of training.
Democrats are making the heroic men and women of TSA work without pay for the THIRD time in six months — forcing 366 agents to leave the force.
This loss significantly decreases TSA’s ability to meet passenger demand and leaves critical gaps in staffing, as each new recruit requires 4-6 MONTHS of training.
Democrats continue to play political games with the livelihoods of our TSA officers and their families.
It’s time for them to end their reckless DHS shutdown.
3 HOUR WAIT TIMES.
@TSA officers are not the only ones paying the price for the Democrats’ DHS shutdown. Now, the American people are facing THREE hour wait times at airports.
Democrats do not care about TSA officers going without pay, and they do not care about the millions of Americans missing flights and facing delays because of this reckless DHS shutdown.
Heading to DC today to manage debate on the floor and got to travel on this tribute to the great state of Missouri!
Thank you to TSA and the air traffic controllers here for their hard work in keeping us all safe.
Hope to see the USA GOLD-MEDAL HOCKEY TEAMS at the State of the Union tomorrow. They did great and made us so proud! USA!🇺🇸

Americans can be proud of TSA workers across the country who continued to serve with excellence throughout the shutdown—like these patriots at Tampa International Airport—who went to great lengths to protect our country, care for their fellow Americans, and keep our nation moving.
We are giving a $10,000 bonus to exemplary TSA officers across our nation who went above and beyond their performance.
Thank you to the men and women of @TSA!
