@regina_dennis @GMSTNBlaq Thank you for pointing this out. In researching my ancestors I’ve found plenty of misspelled names. I also found requests for corrections from the early 1900’s. For us literacy seemingly played a major role, and possibly the desire to veer away from Christian names.
