@Headteacherchat No, Burgundy Book notice periods only end on 31st Dec, 30th April or 31st August and the resignation date for each is 30th Sept, 31st Jan and 30th April respectively. A HT resigning today would have an end date (save by agreement) of 30th April 25.
@poppygibsonuk@CrowTalesBooks Fabulous idea. I have an ill-formed one around the magicke of tarrying with words that may yet form into something solid.
@Headteacherchat No, concisely. For maintained schools the remaining obligations are in The School Staffing (England) Regulations 2009 as amended for GB to advertise in such manner as it considers appropriate, unless it has good reason not to. Answer limited to England as Q refers to academies.
@sbl365 Really interesting stuff, Hilary. Do note that the SSSNB is not a Pay Review Body, it's the school support staff child of JNC and is a negotiating body. That grants the Sec of State some intractable seat distribution and TU recognition issues.
@poppygibsonuk It's a really difficult brief because for everyone who may be turned away by perceived negativity, there's someone else who might be by perceived positivity. As many others have said, it depends on target audience, purpose of the naming and where it might be used.
@Headteacherchat This is an excellent idea, and looks really well structured too. If I/we can help in any way just ask. Heading for my third decade of supporting school leaders across the whole range of their challenges, so happy to contribute in any way that adds to this great project.
@DavidYatesPhD Academia is almost designed to generate isolation and alienation these days, so if a coffee and a chat would help at any time, just shout. Don't face any of this unreasonable crap alone, David.
@SchoolsAdvisory@macmillancancer We've popped a donation your way, with all our respect from Dee, me and the Director of Cakebox Cleaning Services- Murf.
@SRooney87 Loving the active verb forms here, Steve, these things are always iterative and interactional and it looks like your pupils (and community) are blessed to have such great forward-looking and inclusive values.
@MissLee_Primary If the thought is there then the desire to do the qualification is there; the rhythms and routines of learning and gathering ECF evidence and the Masters may be mutually reinforcing rather than in tension. Go for it, I say.
@seainclusion Last min cancellations depend on the reason and whether it gets past my old, wrinkled & cynical face. Unpaid bills are different; a reminder that if legal action follows it adds statutory interest (a terrifying 8% on top of BOE base rate, or 13.25% currently) focusses minds.
@Headteacherchat It's not "presence" they struggle with but rather "the presence they think they should have" or imposter presence syndrome. That's probably a job for coaching or mentoring or both, rather than training as such.
@MrChrisPassey I call these "forgive me days" as I strive to forgive myself for being less well than on better days. It's not a universal recommendation, but if it helps then forgive yourself. And a quick hat doff for being open about it.
@ForwardAs1Trust@KarenBramwell Congratulations, Karen, great to see your contribution acknowledged in this way. No fighting with Simon for the gong polish, mind.
Today on #NationalSBLDay we're celebrating the vital contribution our Business and Admin colleagues make to our Trust.
A wonderful group of professionals whose important work 'backstage' lets the 'onstage' performance shine for the benefit of our pupils, staff and communities 🌟
@NASSCHOOLS@CarolynEyre Seconded. Now I am off to help a brilliant Salford based Special MAT merge with another to create even more capacity to provide world class education and life development for their pupils, parents, communities and cities.
@CarolynEyre@NASSCHOOLS Good job I used the word genius, then, that must have been foresight. Or fivesight, it's been a long week. All good in our world, and in mine in the final post-Viva throes of my seemingly eternal Ph.D. Be good to have that done and a better academic-biker balance attained.
