Wow!!!! Alle kiezers bedankt! Het is gelukt. Eindhoven Voor Elkaar (EVE) zit er bij in de nieuwe gemeenteraad! Samen bouwen we verder aan de nieuwe beweging die #Eindhoven verdient. Zo ontzettend trots op ons team. Als dit al kan na vier maanden, dan kijk ik nu al uit naar de komende vier jaar. EVE vieren!!!

NEW | Israel and Lebanon agreed to a ceasefire last night after two days of talks. The ceasefire is apparently contingent on Hezbollah’s complete cessation of attacks, but Hezbollah leader Naim Qassem rejected the ceasefire this morning, calling it tantamount to surrender.

Hezbollah has continued to attack Israeli troops in Lebanon in recent hours. It is doubtful that Israel will abide by the agreement if Hezbollah refuses to stop its attacks. Lebanese President Joseph Aoun warned that this agreement was the “final opportunity” to reach a comprehensive ceasefire and that “each party will bear responsibility” if they don’t comply.

Hezbollah has called for a “comprehensive” ceasefire in which the IDF withdraws from southern Lebanon and ceases its air activity. Yesterday’s agreement does not directly promise an Israeli withdrawal but an agreement to launch “pilot zones” in which the Lebanese army would backfill the IDF in southern Lebanon. There are rumors that Dibbine – which the IDF reportedly withdrew from today – may be one of the first “pilot zones.”

The lack of clarity around the Hezbollah-Israel ceasefire further plays into Iranian efforts to transform negotiations about ending the war over the Strait of Hormuz into negotiations about ending the war in Lebanon.

The IRGC released a statement this morning in which it echoed Hezbollah’s demands and called for a complete ceasefire in Lebanon as a precondition for any Iranian agreement with the United States. The regime will likely continue to create a protracted discussion about the Lebanon issue and thereby deflect attention from negotiations about the Strait of Hormuz and other key points of disagreement.

Inmiddels is de Spaanse anticorruptie politie ook het hoofdkwartier van de PSOE in Madrid binnengevallen. Het schandaal rondom Sanchez wordt steeds groter. Hoe lang kan de premier zich daar nog van vrijwaren?

@NathanL0lz Beetje manke vergelijking Nathan, over het PSOE en Sanchez universum irt corruptie kan je genoeg vinden. Het is aan jou of je daarin verder geen relatie tot dit onderzoek ziet.

🇺🇦 Ukrainian tennis player Oleksandra Oliynykova scored her first-ever win over a russian opponent at Roland Garros and then openly spoke about double standards in WTA.

“Many russian athletes actively participate in propaganda, play in Gazprom-linked tournaments, and openly support Putin,” she said after the match.

Oliynykova also revealed that she had been pressured by the WTA for months over her public statements about russian players and the war. According to her, officials demanded she stop mentioning certain athletes by name and threatened her with fines and even disqualification.

Veel te weinig ophef na het dubieuze bericht van Ahmed Marcouch op LinkedIn die iets vindt van hoe Joden hun identiteit beleven of zouden moeten beleven. Bizar. Wel perfecte reactie van @ItayGarmy.

@NathanL0lz Ik heb ook niet gezegd dat deze inval een onderzoek is naar Sanchez. Dat komt nog wel.

@NathanL0lz Die is gearresteerd, dat klopt, maar het gaat niet alleen om individuen. Het gaat om het PSOE universum waarin een systeem van corruptie is gecreeerd. Hopelijk lukt het ze om dat stukje bij stukje verder te ontrafelen.

@NathanL0lz Dat lees ik toch anders. Maar ook niet heel relevant. Ik snap echt wel dat PSOE dit probeert te downplayen. Dit is een heel serieus probleem en onderstreept vooral de zweem van corruptie die al jaren rondom Sanchez hangt.
