Quick Week by Week Premier League graph showing how the league was won. Points of note:
- Takes 15 weeks to establish a Top Six.
- Weeks 16-21 (Christmas) are the most important for establishing the mid-table.
- Bournemouth had the biggest drop off during the season.
Alessio Cragano (24) of Cagliari is a joy to watch. A modern keeper adept with both feet, he has been a standout performer this season, comfortably outperforms his xGA. Slightly more diminutive at 6ft, he is an Italian U21 international and will feature in the senior squad soon.
Lazio's Albanian Thomas Strakosha (24) is another who has established himself in Serie A over the previous two season and has outperformed his defence over his 34 appearances this season. Another giant at 6ft 4in, he is very agile for his size.
That is just a look at some of the statistical outliers that were uncovered. All players considered have played over 1000 minutes this season. The majority of these have first team experience but hopefully there are some names here unfamiliar that you can take a look at.
A look at CMs between the ages of 17-23 in Europe's top five leagues to compare their constructive and destructive actions. Tanguy Ndombele being closest to the median on both sections gives a great start point for comparisons. If you enjoy this thread RT & give us a follow.
Julian Brandt (23) is one of the more well known names on the list and one who is without doubt on the move from Bayer Leverkusen this summer. Despite the evidence here that he is a below average passer & offers little tackling, he will have a large list of suitors.
